Supporting Carers in the London Borough of Lewisham

Carers Lewisham provide a range of services including advice, information, emotional support, breaks, opportunities to meet other carers, relaxation days and well-being sessions, coping strategies, specialist support for parent carers, carers of people with dementia, carers of people with mental health problems, older carers and carers who are caring for someone who is nearing the end of their life.

Carers Lewisham is run by and for carers: many of our staff, trustees and volunteers are or have been carers. We currently support over 2,500 carers from the age of 8 and from a variety of backgrounds.

Although we are an independent charity we are also a member of the Carers Trust. Membership enables us to access funds and other support to improve how we support carers.

Carers Lewisham currently holds an AQS quality marks for our advice and information services.
